I work with the image and what it means in our society, what we are and what we seem, and how we depend on our appearance and belongings to develop ourselves and to believe ourselves successful. We are absolutely egocentric- others begin to matter only when we want to know what they think of us, what they say of us, or how we seem to them. I think about the need to return to the center, to live and coexist with ourselves in the best way, in the intimacy of a reflexive loneliness, for which we don’t have time, and still worse, are not interested.

I paint not what i see, but what I've experienced through my life. My art is direct expression of inner life, the art of the dramatic, the art of beauty, the art of tears, hurt, isolation, love and hope, fear and despair! The Heart and Art in Exile...I am an Expressionist!

Prague- Charles Bridge will have its world premier at the exhibition placed under the auspice of the Consul General of the Czech Republic, Mrs. Jaroslava Jeslínková on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 at 5:30 PM.

"I do want my work to affect the world. I think it should have an impact on people's lives. A painting becomes a part of their physical environment, and I want mine to make people happy. I want the beauty I create to promote better relationships between people, to bring more goodness into the world. Maybe something I've made is hanging on their wall, or in some public place, and they walk by it – and when that happens, I want them to feel something. I want them to be moved, and to feel good, because of what I've created. That feeling you get when you first see a piece of art, or when you buy it and take it home – I want people to have that feeling every time they see one of my paintings, even if they've seen it a hundred times before. I've tried to put something of beauty into everything I've made. That deserves to be preserved, to be appreciated."
