AnciauxANCIAUX

(FRANCE)
Photographer Anciaux takes us on a voyage to the dream-like and the fantastical. Using photographs from her personal repertoire as a departure point, transforming and reworking them to create another image, she coaxes the viewer to reflect, to question and to imagine. Anciaux's style consists of altering an ordinary photo, bringing to light an image which exists solely in her spirit, giving free reign to her creative thirst. Her camera lens is the springboard for these photographic creations- it is here where her talent, her richness and her uniqueness blossom. She captures and plays with light, form and matter. For Anciaux, art is a keystone of humanity, and it is the artist's task to share with the world.

Macleod

MACLEOD

(CANADA)
Thus far, my focus, as a painter, has been the human form- specifically, the face. As a result, my appreciation for painting from photographs has evolved. Colour, clarity, abstraction and detail: photographs capture many different visual qualities that I enjoy painting. When painting from photographs, my intentions are always to make paintings that look like paintings. I embrace the deviations that occur during translation because they make my paintings look more organic. I don't like to "grid" or "project" because these methods give my paintings a mechanical look. It is a subtle yet crucial part of my work. It is the difference between a straight line drawn with a ruler and one drawn freehand.

Csiky

CSIKY

(HUNGARY)
Csiky is at once a sculptor and revealer of his subjects' inner beings. Following the tradition of Honoré Daumier, his prodigious talent leads him to create caricatures with a subtle play of lights and shadows. Over the last twenty years, he has found resounding success on an international scale: World Champion in Dubaï, First Prize in Changchun (China), solo exhibition at "Palais du roi de Rome à Rambouillet" (France). His figurative creations in terra cotta and bronze, ripe with originality, are in high demand and have been presented numerous times in the media. A must-see event for all art enthusiasts!
